The Basics
How does MysteryFlightClub work?
You pick your package, select your departure city and preferred 7-day travel window, and we handle everything else. We book your round-trip flights and hotel to a mystery US destination. You'll find out where you're going 7 days before departure. Sit back, pack your bags, and let the adventure surprise you.
What's included in the price?
Every MysteryFlightClub booking includes:
- Round-trip flights in economy class
- 2-night hotel stay (3 nights with Extra Night add-on)
- One personal item on your flight (purse, tote bag, computer bag, briefcase or kids backpack)
- Destination reveal 7 days before departure
What is NOT included?
The following are not included in your booking:
- Carry-on and checked baggage — must be purchased directly from your airline
- Seat selection — can be arranged directly with your airline
- Meals — your booking is room only
- Ground transportation — transfers to and from airports
- City taxes and resort fees — paid directly to the hotel at check-in
- Hotel security deposit — may be required at check-in by the hotel
- Personal expenses — activities, dining, shopping and entertainment
- Travel insurance — unless purchased as an add-on
Which destinations are available?
We operate across 37 US destinations including cities like Miami, Las Vegas, New York, Los Angeles, Nashville, New Orleans, Chicago, Seattle and many more. All destinations are within the United States — no passport required, just a valid government-issued photo ID.
Can I choose my destination?
No — that's the whole point!
Your destination is selected entirely at our discretion. We do not accept destination preferences, exclusions or requests. Once your destination has been allocated no swaps or changes will be made for any reason including previous visits to the allocated city or personal preference. This is the mystery experience you signed up for!
What if I've already been to the destination I'm allocated?
No swaps or refunds
Because the destination is randomly selected we cannot guarantee you won't be allocated a city you've previously visited. No swaps, changes or refunds will be issued in this situation. We recommend embracing the adventure — every city has something new to discover!
Will our group all get the same destination?
Yes — if booked together
If all travelers are included in the same booking everyone will be allocated the same destination. If travelers complete separate bookings they may receive different destinations. Always book your entire group together to guarantee the same mystery destination.
Can I book this as a gift for someone else?
Yes — gift bookings are welcome!
You can purchase a MysteryFlightClub booking as a gift. Please ensure you enter the traveler's correct legal name as it appears on their government-issued ID — name change fees charged by airlines are the sole responsibility of the traveler. The destination reveal and travel documents will be sent to the email address provided at booking.
Booking & Dates
How far in advance do I need to book?
Bookings must be made at least 14 days before your preferred travel window start date. Travel is available on selected dates through December 15, 2026. Please note that availability for certain travel dates may be limited during peak periods.
What is the 7-day travel window?
When you book you select a preferred start date. We will book your trip at any point within that 7-day window based on the best available flights and hotel rates. Additionally MysteryFlightClub reserves the right to book your trip up to one calendar day before or after your selected window if operationally required. By completing your booking you consent to this flexibility.
Are there any blackout dates?
Yes — major US holidays and peak travel periods are not available for booking including Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's, Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day and Spring Break. These dates are clearly marked as unavailable on our booking calendar.
When will I find out my destination?
Your destination reveal is sent to your email 7 days before your departure date. If you purchase the Early Destination Reveal add-on at the time of booking you will find out your destination within 72 hours of booking.
When will I receive my travel documents?
You will receive:
- Booking confirmation — within 48 hours of your purchase
- Destination reveal — 7 days before departure (or within 72 hours with Early Reveal add-on)
- Travel documents (flight tickets, hotel confirmation, booking references) — 14 days before departure
I made a mistake on my booking — what do I do?
Contact us immediately at admin@mysteryflightclub.com if you notice an error. Name corrections must match your government-issued ID exactly. Any name change fees charged by the airline are the sole responsibility of the traveler — MysteryFlightClub is not liable for airline name correction fees.

What happens if I'm a Tier 2 departure and don't want to pay the surcharge?
If you are notified of a Tier 2 surcharge and choose not to pay it you have two options:
- Switch to a Tier 1 departure airport — we will rebook from the nearest Tier 1 airport at no extra charge
- Receive a full refund — we will issue a complete refund of your booking since no flights or hotel have been booked yet
Can two people in our group depart from different airports?
Yes this is possible in some cases. If travelers in your group wish to depart from different airports please contact us at admin@mysteryflightclub.com after booking. Additional charges may apply based on flight availability from each airport. We will do our best to accommodate your group arriving at the destination on the same date.
Flights
What type of flights are included?
All flights are booked in economy class. Direct flights are not guaranteed — your booking may include one or more connecting flights. The airline is selected at our sole discretion based on availability and value. We work with a range of carriers including budget and full-service airlines such as Allegiant, Spirit, Frontier, Southwest, Delta, American and United.
Can I select my seat?
Seat selection is not included in your booking. You can arrange seat selection directly with your airline after receiving your travel documents. Seat selection fees are the sole responsibility of the traveler and vary by airline.
What is the baggage allowance?
Your booking includes one personal item only — such as a purse, tote bag, computer bag, briefcase or kids backpack. Carry-on bags and checked baggage are not included and must be purchased directly from your airline. Baggage fees vary by airline and are the sole responsibility of the traveler. We strongly recommend checking your airline's baggage policy after receiving your travel documents.
What if my flight is cancelled or delayed by the airline?
Flight disruptions caused by the airline are outside of our control. MysteryFlightClub is not responsible for airline cancellations, delays or schedule changes. In the event of an airline cancellation we will make reasonable efforts to find alternative flights. However no refunds will be issued for airline-caused disruptions. We strongly recommend purchasing our Travel Insurance add-on for protection against flight disruptions.
What if I miss my flight?
No refund or credit
Missed flights due to late arrival at the airport or any other reason within the traveler's control are the sole responsibility of the traveler. MysteryFlightClub will not issue refunds or store credits for missed flights. Please ensure you arrive at the airport with sufficient time before your scheduled departure.
Accommodation
What type of hotel will I stay in?
We book hotels maintaining an average rating of 3 stars or above across major travel platforms including TripAdvisor, Booking.com, Google Hotels and Expedia at the time of booking. All hotels feature a private room with ensuite bathroom. Please note that star ratings may vary between platforms due to differences in rating methodologies — our commitment is to the average rating across multiple platforms at the time of booking.
Is there an age requirement to check in?
21+ required
The primary traveler checking into the hotel must be at least 21 years of age. This applies to all bookings. Travelers under 21 are welcome but must be accompanied by at least one traveler aged 21 or older who will be the primary guest on the hotel booking. MysteryFlightClub is not responsible for hotel refusal of check-in due to age requirements.
Are meals included at the hotel?
All bookings are room only. Meals are not included unless provided complimentary by the hotel. Any meals, room service or dining charges are the sole responsibility of the traveler and will be charged directly by the hotel.
What about city taxes and resort fees?
City taxes and resort fees are not included in your booking price. These fees are set by local governments and hotels and must be paid directly to the hotel upon arrival. The amount varies by destination and will be provided with your travel documents. Additionally hotels may require a security deposit at check-in which is refunded at checkout.
What if the hotel is overbooked?
In the rare event that your booked hotel is overbooked or unavailable MysteryFlightClub will arrange a comparable alternative hotel of equal or greater quality at no additional cost to you. No refunds will be issued for hotel substitutions that meet our stated quality standards.
Can I request a specific room type?
Special room requests such as high floors, specific bed types, connecting rooms or accessibility requirements can be noted in the Special Requests field at the time of booking. We will communicate your request to the hotel but cannot guarantee that requests will be fulfilled as this is at the hotel's sole discretion.
Pricing & Packages
What packages are available?
We offer three packages:
- Solo Traveler — $349 (includes $150 single supplement for private room)
- Duo Package — $398 ($199 per person — 2 travelers)
- Group of 4 — $796 ($199 per person — 4 travelers)
Why is there a solo supplement fee?
Solo travelers pay a $150 single supplement on top of the $199 base price ($349 total). Hotels price rooms per room not per person — this fee covers the cost of a private room for a single traveler. The fee is automatically waived when booking for 2 or more travelers.
What add-ons are available?
We offer 4 optional add-ons — all must be selected at the time of booking:
- Early Destination Reveal (+$19pp) — Find out your destination within 72 hours of booking instead of 7 days before departure
- Extra Night Hotel (+$59pp) — Extend your stay from 2 nights to 3 nights
- Travel Insurance (+$29pp) — Coverage for trip cancellation, delays and lost baggage
- Mystery Merch Pack (+$9pp) — Branded luggage tag and sticker set shipped to your door in 15-21 business days. Also enters you into our monthly draw to win a free Mystery Flight!
Cancellation & Refunds
What is your cancellation policy?
All sales are final — No refunds
All payments made to MysteryFlightClub are non-refundable. Because we begin securing flights and hotel accommodations immediately after purchase we cannot offer refunds for any reason including change of mind, destination dissatisfaction, personal circumstances, illness or any other reason. We strongly recommend purchasing our Travel Insurance add-on at booking for peace of mind.
What if MysteryFlightClub can't fulfill my booking?
In the rare circumstance that MysteryFlightClub is genuinely unable to fulfill your booking — for example if no flights or hotels are available within your travel window — you will receive a store credit valid for 12 months from the date of issue. This credit can be applied to any future MysteryFlightClub booking. No cash refunds will be issued in this circumstance.
Can I cancel if I'm sick or have an emergency?
No refund without Travel Insurance
Personal circumstances including illness, family emergencies or work conflicts are not covered under our refund policy. This is why we strongly recommend purchasing our Travel Insurance add-on (+$29pp) at the time of booking. Travel Insurance provides coverage for trip cancellation due to covered reasons including illness.
Can I dispute my charge with my bank?
By completing a booking with MysteryFlightClub you explicitly agree to our non-refundable policy. Initiating a chargeback for reasons including destination dissatisfaction, change of mind or any other reason covered in our Terms of Service constitutes an improper chargeback. MysteryFlightClub reserves the right to dispute all improper chargebacks and recover associated costs. If you have a concern please contact us at admin@mysteryflightclub.com before initiating any dispute.
Travelers & ID
Do I need a passport?
No passport needed!
All MysteryFlightClub destinations are within the United States. A valid government-issued photo ID such as a driver's license or state ID is all you need. Please ensure your name on the booking matches your ID exactly.
Can children travel with MysteryFlightClub?
Yes — children are welcome!
Children are welcome on all MysteryFlightClub bookings. However the following conditions apply:
- At least one traveler must be 21 years or older and will be the primary guest on the hotel booking
- Each child requires their own booking ticket and seat on the flight
- The destination is randomly selected — we do not make adjustments for family-friendly preferences
- Children's bookings are subject to the same non-refundable policy as adult bookings
Do you accommodate special needs or accessibility requirements?
Please note any accessibility requirements, dietary needs or medical conditions in the Special Requests field at booking. We will make reasonable efforts to accommodate your needs when selecting your destination and hotel. However because destinations are randomly allocated we cannot guarantee that all accessibility requirements will be fully met. We recommend contacting us at admin@mysteryflightclub.com before booking if you have specific accessibility needs.
What should I pack if I don't know where I'm going?
Great question! Here are our packing tips for the mystery traveler:
- Pack for all weather — a light jacket, comfortable walking shoes and layers work for any US city
- Smart casual clothing — suitable for city exploring, dining out and any activities
- Comfortable walking shoes — you'll want to explore!
- Valid photo ID — essential for flights and hotel check-in
- Any prescription medications — bring enough for your full trip
- Phone charger and travel adapter — all US cities use standard US plugs
- Open mind and sense of adventure — the most important thing to pack!
